Tropical Courtyard

Still not warm enough for you?  Come to Lasdon Park and Arboretum for entry into the Tropical Courtyard in the Conservatory.

Visitors looking for a place to relax, read a book, or learn a new plant name can find it in our conservatory.  

See our red and orange hibiscus flowers, ‘Frizzle Sizzle’ pansies, Bismarck palm, and ‘Purple Wave’ petunias. Our newest addition is a 125 gallon pond with Elephant ear plants in the water.  Coming soon : a lotus plant!

Visit our banana wall with Musa ‘Ice Cream’, Musa ‘Siam Ruby’ and dwarf Cavendish green bananas.

See our orchid wall decorated with Phalaenopsis orchids and airplants.  In bloom now are our jasmine vines.  Coming in mid-April will be more vines for our new green trellises.  We have mounted specimens of Tillandsia xerographica, one of the largest of the air plants available.
